Layou Teraga MultiPurpose Farmers Cooperative
Background
LayoTeraga Coffee Producers' and Ecporter Cooperative was established in 1997 E.C by 59 Males and one Female members.This time the members grown to 1,814(1,383 Male and 431 Female). The business operation of the Cooperative since establishment encompass large coffee plantation, export, coffee processing and supplying for over the past 18 years.
Objectives
.To facilitate investments in social and other profitable projects.
.Collecting coffee beans from member farmers and marketing them for a better price.
.To improve and maintain the quality, productivity, and sustainability of coffee production
.Helping cooperative members to gain better value of their coffee beans.
Who We Are
Guji, Uraga district, Layo Teraga Kebele, Oromia region, Ethiopia. The location is one of the coffee-growing areas in Ethiopia with young coffee plants and excellent flavor. At the moment the LAYO TERAGA cooperative has 1814 members and 9,205 families with an annual production of 4,578 Total area and 3678.5 square kilometers of coffee farmland.
What We Do
To supply the best quality of Guji/Sidamo coffee Type to the world and in return improving the livelihood of our member farmers and their family.
